Trap Severity Setting
Each trap has its default severity level. In actual network environment, administrators always need to modify the severity levels of some traps.
Operation Procedure
- Click the Alarm tab, and then select Trap Management > Trap Definition from the navigation tree to enter the Trap Definition page.
- Select one or more traps, click Modify Severity to enter the trap severity setting page.
- Select a setting style (all setting, individual setting, or default setting), and set the severity levels of the selected traps.
- All setting: Set a severity levels for all selected traps.
- Individual setting: Set the severity levels for each selected traps one by one in the selected trap table.
- Default Severity: Restore the severity level of all selected traps to their default value.
- Click OK.
The modified result page appears. This page refreshes at a fixed interval until all modifications are completed.
Precautions
- Only one administrator is allowed to perform the severity setting operation at one time, and all the other administrators must wait until this administrator finishes his operation.
- Severity modification takes time when there are a great number of traps.
