Auto Grouping
Perform this task to automatically group existing devices in the system based on the auto add device rules of device groups. After auto grouping is complete, existing devices in the system are added to the corresponding device groups that match the rules.
Procedure 1
- Click the System tab, and then click the Device Group link.
- Click Run Auto Add Device Rule.
Procedure 2
- Click the System tab, and then click the Device Group link.
- Click Add.
- Enter the device group name and description and select operators who will have the management right to the device group.
- Click OK.
- If the device group is successfully added, you are navigated to the Device Group page. Click Immediately Run Auto Add Device Rule for the new device group.
Procedure 3
- Click the System tab, and then click the Device Group link.
- Click Ungrouped Devices.
- Click Auto Grouping to group ungrouped devices.
Remarks
- Only administrators have the right of auto grouping. Viewers and maintainers do not have the right of auto grouping.
