Synchronize Port Groups

This function allows you to synchronize port groups.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the Resource tab, and select View Management > Port Group from the navigation tree.
2. Click Run Rule.

Precautions

• A port group can accommodate up to 1000 interfaces.
• Interface aliases are matched against the interface alias rule. If the alias of a device interface matches the interface alias rule of a port group, the interface will be automatically added to the port group. For example, suppose the alias of an interface on a device is InLoopBack0. If the interface alias rule is configured as *Back*, ?nLo*, and ?n* for a port group and the device is added, the interface alias matches the rule and thus the interface is automatically added to the port group. If the interface alias rule is configured as *In? for a port group, the interface alias does not match the rule because the question mark (?) as a wildcard can match only one letter and thus the interface cannot be added to the port group. The interface alias rule is case-sensitive.
