Quick Start

This topic describes the basic functions of Intelligent Policy Center.

SCC Intelligent Policy Center matches events with existing policies in the system. If a match is found, it automatically takes the actions specified in the policy and generates report data. Perform the following tasks in Intelligent Policy Center: configuring events, configuring policies to associate events with actions, and viewing reports.

  1. Event Configuration: Allows you to configure device alarm events or periodic events.
  2. Event Management: Displays all periodic events and device alarm events that are generated based on the event configuration settings.
  3. Policy Management: Allows you to manage policies. A policy specifies the actions to be taken in response to an event.
  4. Event Processing: Includes a series of event processing functions, such as taking corresponding security actions triggered by events and taking reversing actions.
  5. Report: Allows you to view the event report and policy execution report for the last hour.
  6. Action Management: Displays the available actions in the system. Click the name of an action to view its details.
