Add/Modify/Copy Rule

This function helps you add, modify, or copy a syslog filtering rule.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the Alarm tab, and then select Syslog Management > Filtering Rule from the navigation tree.
2. Click Add, , or for the target rule.
3. Configure parameters for the rule.
4. Click OK.

Parameters

• Target Devices: Select the devices to which the filtering rule applies. '*' indicates all devices.
• Matching Order: Select whether or not to filter syslogs based on keywords in the specified order. Options include Keep Keyword Order and Ignore Keyword Order.
• Keywords: Character strings for filtering syslogs. Wildcard characters are not supported. Syslogs are filtered based on keywords and the matching order. For example, if the keyword is set to IP Address, all syslogs that contain IP Address are filtered.

Precautions

• You cannot modify the name of a rule.
• You must rename the rule that is copied from an existing one.
