If a user has logged off but the system still displays the user as online, the user is referred to as a halted user. The following scenarios will generate halted users: 1) The device is powered off and then restarts. All online users of the device are logged off in this case. Because the TAM server receives no logoff requests, it still displays the users as online. 2) When a user logs off, the logoff request sent from the device to the TAM server is lost. In this case, the TAM still displays the user as online.
For halted users, the system provides two methods to clear the online records: 1) Operators manually clear the online data from the online user list. 2) The system automatically clears the online data after users are halted for a specific period of time. This period is determined by the
Aging Time parameter in System Parameters configuration.
Perform this task to clear online users manually.
Procedure
- Click the User tab, and then select Device User > All Online Users from the navigation tree.
- Select one or more online users on the online user list, and then click Clear Online Info.
A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click OK.
