Add RMON Alarm Item

This task allows you to add an alarm item to the RMON alarm group.

Operation Procedure

Select the Resource tab.
Select the device to be managed from the device list to enter the detailed information page.
Click the RMON link in the Device Management list to open the RMON management page.
Click RMON Alarm Group tab to enter into RMON Alarm Group Management page.
Click Add to enter the RMON alarm item adding page.
Select the statistics item, port, sampling type, rising event index and falling event index, and type the sampling interval, owner, rising threshold and falling threshold. Then click OK.

Field	Description
Stat Item	Select an item to be monitored.
Port Desc	Select a port for statistics collection.
Sampling Type	Two sampling types are provided, namely, absolute sampling and delta sampling. Absolute sampling refers to the current sampling value accumulated since the system started up; delta sampling refers to the value by subtracting the last absolute sampling value from the current absolute sampling value, and it also depends on the sampling interval. Generally, delta sampling is selected.
Build Default Event	If you choose Yes, you do not need to select the event index; instead, the system automatically generates an event definition based on the selected variable. If you choose No, you need to select a rising event index and a falling event index.
