Parameters
- AP Name: Identifies an AP template. The AP template name must be less than 64 characters, and contain letters, numbers, and underlines. It cannot be null. When the AP is offline, only the status of the AP template is displayed.
- AP Alias: The AP alias must be less than 64 characters. An AP alias can be entered in uppercase or lowercase and can contain special characters.
- SN: Either the serial number of the fit AP, which is a string of 1 to 32 characters, or a case-insensitive string to create an auto AP template. When you enable the AP auto registration feature for the AC, all fit APs with models matching the auto AP template can automatically connect to the AC, and are named as, for example, AP template name_001, AP template name_002. When the fit APs are offline, their templates no longer appear on the fit AP list.
- Model: Defines the models of the AP to be added. You can select the AP model supported by the current AC from the list.
- Work Mode: Options are Normal, Monitor, and Hybrid. In monitor mode, you can check a fit AP for unauthorized intrusion. In normal mode, no such check is performed. Hybrid mode uses both monitor and normal mode.
- Region Code: Operating region code.
- Hybrid Remote Ap Mode: Operating hybrid remote AP mode of the AP.
- Reply Broadcast Probe: Indicates whether the AP responds to broadcast packets.
- Connection Priority: Specifies the connection priority of the AP connected to the current AC. The value range is 0 to 7. The default is 7.
- Client Idle-Timeout Interval(s): Indicates the Idle-timeout interval when the AP and client send requests to each other. The value range of the interval is 60 to 86400 seconds and cannot be null.
- Client KeepAlive Interval(s): Indicates the Keepalive interval when the AP and client send requests to each other. The value range of the interval is 3 to 1800 seconds.
- Fit AP group: Select the fit AP group to which the fit AP template belongs. Options include all the fit AP groups that the operator can manage.
- Description: Description within 64 characters.
- Other Connection Priority: Specifies the connection priority of the AP connected to the other AC in the AC group. The value range is 0 to 7. The default is 4. This option is available only when the Synchronize AC Configuration option is selected.
- Synchronize AC: Synchronizes the added or modified fit AP template to all ACs in the selected AC group.
- AC Group: AC group to which configuration is synchronized.
Remarks
- If a fit AP does not support mesh, the Enable mesh portal service option is not available. For support of mesh for fit APs, see configuration guides for the devices.
- After you add an automatic template for a specific fit AP model, all fit APs of that model can automatically connect to the AC. When an automatic connection is detected, WSM generates a temporary fit AP template on the fit AP list. Operators can modify its name at the CLI of the AC and save it as a formal fit AP template. If the fit AP template is not saved, it is deleted when the fit AP is disconnected from the AC. For information about the configuration procedure, see the AC configuration guide.
- You can create only one automatic template for fit APs of the same model that are connected to the same AC.
