MCS Set Configuration

Use MCS set configuration to modify the configuration of mandatory and supported MCS for 802.11an or 802.11gn on an AC.

Procedure

1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the WLAN Manager navigation tree, select Resource Management > ACs to open the AC List page.
3. Click an AC name to open the Device Details page.
4. Click MCS Set Configuration in the Wireless Service Information area to open the MCS Set Configuration page.
5. Specify the parameter values, and then click OK.

Parameters

• Max Index of Mandatory MCS Set: The index is an integer in the range of 0 to 76. The value cannot be greater than the maximum index of the supported MCS set. A client must support all the mandatory MCSs to access the WLAN.
• Max Index of Support MCS Set: The index is an integer in the range of 0 to 76. A client must support some supported MCSs to access the WLAN.

Remarks

• The MCS Set Configuration link appears only when the AC supports 802.11gn or 802.11an.
• Only Comware-based wireless devices support this function.
