Fit AP Real-Time Monitoring

Use fit AP real-time monitoring to monitor the operating parameters of fit APs in real time. The monitoring indexes for Comware-based fit APs are different from those for MSM fit APs.

For Comware-based fit APs, monitoring is divided into AP-level monitoring and radio-level monitoring. AP-level monitoring collects statistics about CPU usage, memory usage, AP temperature, associated clients, association failures, re-associated clients, denied clients, and exceptionally logged-out clients, in which, CPU and memory usage statistics are displayed in a chart. Radio-level monitoring collects statistics about transmitted traffic, received traffic, transmit rate, receive rate, and retransmit rate, in which the transmit and receive rates are displayed in a chart. The number of radio-level monitor labs is the same as the number of radios on the fit AP.

For MSM fit APs, the monitor indexes include AP, Wireless Rate, Neighborhood Status, Local Mesh Neighborhood, Local Mesh Link, Bridge Status, and Wireless Ports. The real-time status of these indexes is displayed on different tabs.

Procedure

  1. Click the Service tab.
  2. From the WLAN Manager navigation tree, select Resource Management > Fit APs to open the Fit AP List page.
  3. Select Real-Time Monitoring from the Operation menu, or click the AP label of an AP to open the Device Details page for the fit AP.
  4. Click Real-Time Monitoring to open the AP real-time monitoring page.
  5. View monitor information on different tabs.
  6. Click Close to close the AP real-time monitoring page.

Remarks

MSM fit APs might not support all real-time monitor indexes. For more information, see the configuration guides of the APs.
