Add/Modify Mesh Profile
Perform this task to add or modify a mesh profile of a specified AC or fat AP.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab.
- From the WLAN Manager navigation tree, select Resource Management > ACs or Resource Management > Fat APs to open the device list page.
- Click a device label to open the Device Details page.
- Click Mesh Profile Management to open the Mesh Profile List page.
- Click Add Mesh Profile to open the Add Mesh Profile page, or select Modify from the Operation icon for the target mesh profile to open the Modify Mesh Profile page.
- Specify the basic information of the mesh profile.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Mesh Profile ID: Identifies a mesh profile, with an effective range of 1 to 32.
- Mesh ID: Uniquely identifies a mesh. A mesh ID is a string of 1 to 32 characters, and can contain numbers, letters, spaces, and the following characters: tilde (~), back quote (`), exclamation point (!), at sign (@), pound sign (#), dollar sign ($), percent sign (%), caret (^), ampersand sign (&), asterisk (*), left parenthesis ((), right parenthesis ()), underscore (_), hyphen (-), plus sign (+), left brace ({), left bracket ([), right brace (}), right bracket (]), vertical bar (|), colon (:), quotation marks ("), semicolon (;), apostrophe ('), left angle bracket (<), comma (,), right angle bracket (>), dot (.), and slash (/).
- Binding Mesh Interface: If you select this option, you must set Mesh Interface ID. If you do not select this option, the system sets the mesh interface ID to -1.
- Mesh Interface ID: ID of the mesh interface bound to the mesh profile. IDs of interfaces on the same device must be unique. The interface type is WLAN-MESH.
- Link Keep Alive Interval: Link keep alive interval in seconds, with an effective range of 1 to 1800 and defaults to 2 seconds.
- Link Backhaul Rate: Link backhaul rate in Mbps. The value depends on the radio type. The default value is 18.
- Enable Mesh Profile: A mesh profile can be enabled only when bound to a mesh interface ID, and the mesh interface is configured with port security.
- Enable MKD Service: Enables the mesh key distributor (MKD) service for the specific mesh profile. It is supported on an AC only.
Remarks
When you add or modify a mesh profile, the mesh profile ID, mesh ID, and mesh interface ID must be unique on the same device. To enable a mesh profile, you must configure port security for the mesh interface ID and the mesh ID must be effective.
