Verify Asset

You can verify information about the assets that are automatically numbered. Before you can verify assets, enable the Verify Asset parameter in system settings.

Functions

• Approve

Operation Procedure

1. Click the User tab, and select Desktop Asset Manager > Verify Asset from the navigation tree.
2. Select one or more assets and click Approve.
• Disapprove

Operation Procedure

1. Click the User tab, and select Desktop Asset Manager > Verify Asset from the navigation tree.
2. Select one or more assets and click Disapprove.
• Delete

Operation Procedure

1. Click the User tab, and select Desktop Asset Manager > Verify Asset from the navigation tree.
2. Select one or more assets and click Delete. A confirmation dialog box appears.
3. Click OK.

Precautions

• When an endpoint user attempts to access the network from a disapproved asset, the user must submit the correct asset information for approval. After the information is submitted, the asset status becomes Pending in DAM.
