Test Rule

Perform this task to use contents or the imported configuration template file to test the contents of a rule, and to check whether the rule is correct.

Operation Procedure

1. Select the Service tab, click the Compliance Center in the navigation tree to enter the Compliance Policy page.
2. To test a rule when viewing the details of a compliance policy:

   a. Click the name of the target compliance policy.

   b. Click the test link of the target rule.

   c. Type the text you want to test, or click Import to import a configuration template for test.

   d. Confirm the text and click OK.

3. To test a rule when adding or modifying the details of a compliance policy:
   • Click the Add button, or click the Modify link of the target compliance policy in the policy list.
   • Click the test link of the target rule.
   • Type the text you want to test, or click Import to import a configuration template for test.
   • Confirm the text and click OK.

Precautions

• The test function is available only for the Device, Interface, and Configuration Segment check types.
• This function tests whether or not the input text matches a rule, and is not related with the start and end identifiers of the rule.
