Configure SSH Settings
Perform this task to configure SSH settings for devices in batches.
Procedure
- Click the Resource tab. From the navigation tree, select Resource Management > Batch Operation.
- In the NMS Parameter Configuration area, click SSH Settings.
- Click Add to select the target devices.
- Click the Configure icon
to modify SSH parameters.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Name: Name of the SSH template.
- Authentication Mode: Options are: Password, Key, Password + Key, Password + Super Password, Key + Super Password, and Password + Key + Super Password.
- Username: Username with which you can log in to the device through SSH.
- Password: Password with which you can log in to the device through SSH.
- Key File: Key file that contains the key for you to log in.
- Key Password: Password that encrypts the key.
- Super Password: The super password.
- Port: Port for you log in to the device through SSH. The default is 22.
- Timeout: The maximum amount of time the system waits for the device's response. The value is in the range of 1 to 120 seconds. The default is 10 seconds.
- Retries: The maximum number of retries the system performs when communication between the system and the device fails. The value is in the range of 1 to 5. The default is 3.
- Public: This option is selected by default to permit all operators to access the template. If you clear the option, the template is accessible only to operator groups selected in the Access Right area.
Precautions
- When you click Cancel on some configuration pages, you might not return to the previous page.
