Configure Telnet Settings
Perform this task to configure Telnet settings for devices in batches.
Procedure
- Click the Resource tab. From the navigation tree, select Resource Management > Batch Operation.
- In the NMS Parameter Configuration area, click Telnet Settings.
- Click Add to select the target devices.
- Click the Configure icon
to modify Telnet parameters.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Name: Name of the Telnet template.
- Authentication Mode: Options are Password, User name + Password, Super Password, Password + Super Password, User Name + Password + Super Password, and No User Name + No Password.
- Username: The name with which you can telnet to the device.
- Password: Password for you to log in.
- Super password: Password of the super operator of the device.
- Timeout: The maximum amount of time the system waits for the device's response. The value is in the range of 1 to 60 seconds.
- Public: This option is selected by default to permit all operators to access the template. If you clear the option, the template is accessible only to operator groups selected in the Access Right area.
Precautions
- When you click Cancel on some configuration pages, you might not return to the previous page.
