Custom View
You can create a custom view as needed and add devices to it for easy management of these devices. A custom view can include devices and subviews. Each subview can further include devices and lower-level subviews. The level of subviews is unlimited. A subview is actually a group of managed devices in a custom topology.
The administrator can assign other operators management rights to custom views. Custom views have separate management rights and managed devices.
To clearly organize and display the relations of custom views, you can configure an upper-level view for a custom view. All custom views can be organized as a tree with Custom View as the root. A custom view cannot inherit management rights or managed devices from other custom views, including its upper-level views. Each custom view has individual management rights and managed devices. To view or operate an upper-level view, make sure you are assigned corresponding management rights of the view. Devices managed by different views are independent of each other, regardless of the relations of the views they are assigned to.

Precautions
- The status of a custom view depends on the status of the device(s) in it (and its subviews) raising the highest level of alarm.
- If a view does not include any device, its status is Unmanaged.
- You can configure an upper-level view for a custom view. This configuration only changes the hierarchical positions of the two views, but does not associate the management rights, operation, and managed devices of one view to those of another.
- A custom view's name must be unique.
- A custom view can include multiple devices. A device can be assigned to multiple views.
- In the Select Devices or Select Interfaces dialog box, you can filter out unwanted devices by selecting a custom view. At this time, the devices included in the custom view and in its subviews are listed on the right, whereas the devices included in the lower-level custom views are not listed.
- Adding devices to a custom view might take some time. To view the most recent information, refresh the page after the operation success message is received.
- When you click Run Rule in a custom view, the operation of running rules is an asynchronous operation and might take a long time. If the system prompts that rules are successfully run but not all rules are displayed, please refresh the page later to view the result.
