Delete User
This function allows you to delete users.
Operation Procedure
Approach 1
- Click the User tab, and then in the User Management navigation tree click All Users to enter the User List page.
- Click a name link to enter the User Details page.
- Click the Delete link in the right panel, and a confirmation message appears.
- Click OK to delete the user or click Cancel to cancel the operation.
Approach 2
- Click the User tab, and then in the User Management navigation tree click All Users to enter the User List page.
- Select one or more users you want to delete and click Delete User. A confirmation message appears.
- Click OK to delete the user(s) or click Cancel to cancel the operation.
Precautions
- Deleting a user does not remove the user from the system immediately. The user data is still kept in the database. The deleted users are finally removed from the database when their lifetimes are due.
- To delete a user, you need to delete all the service configurations of the user. Any single error can cause the deletion failure.
- The self-service account of a user is deleted together with the user.
- With the UAM module installed, deleting a user also deletes the related access account, and the access account's authentication failure logs, blacklist data and LDAP information are deleted.
- You cannot delete users from the INC platform who have used their self-service accounts to log in to ITSM. If you delete such a user, the system will notify you that the self-service account is online.
