SCC Intelligent Policy Center allows you to configure automated actions for custom device alarms. It also provides the ability to schedule periodic or one-time tasks that will be automatically executed by the system.
Intelligent Policy Center provides the following function modules:
Once the system has received an event and executed the policy associated with the event, it displays the event on the View Event page, along with the associated policy and execution result. You can query events through basic query and advanced query.
Event configuration allows you to customize device alarm events and periodic events. A device alarm event includes a set of alarm variable matching rules for an alarm identified by the alarm OID included in the alarm name. When the system receives an alarm, it matches the alarm with the alarm variable matching rules of the event that contains the same alarm OID. If all rules are matched, the system considers that the alarm matches the device alarm event and takes the actions specified in the policy associated with the event. A periodic event defines a scheduled task that will be executed periodically or for one time only. After you associate the periodic event with a policy, you can configure the actions to be taken in the task. Once the system has executed the task, it records the information on the View Event page.
A policy defines the actions to be taken in response to an event. If an executed action has a reversing action, the system automatically executes the reversing action when the reversing conditions are met.
Displays the available actions in the system. Click the name of an action to view the parameter list and other detailed information about the action.
Provides summarized reporting of event statistics for the last hour.
