IGMP Configuration
Introduction
IGMP Configuration is used to configure IGMP properties for VLANs on a device, which can reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage on a per-port basis in your VLANs. Without IGMP, the switch sends all IP multicast traffic that it receives on a given VLAN to all ports on that VLAN. With IGMP enabled, switches can be configured to direct multicast traffic to only the ports where needed.
Operation Procedure
- Click the Service tab, and then click VLAN Management >VLAN Devices in the navigation tree.
- Click
of a device.
- Click More, select the IGMP Configuration link.
- Click the Edit icon
for a port, modify the operation status of the port, and click the
icon to complete editing the port.
- click OK.
Precautions
- Only HPE switches support IGMP configurations.
- IGMP Querier cannot be set on the VLAN which does not configure any virtual ports, and this property is hidden automatically.
- IGMP Forward with High Priority does not be supported on Partial HPE switches, and this property will hide automatically.
