IGMP Configuration

Introduction

IGMP Configuration is used to configure IGMP properties for VLANs on a device, which can reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage on a per-port basis in your VLANs. Without IGMP, the switch sends all IP multicast traffic that it receives on a given VLAN to all ports on that VLAN. With IGMP enabled, switches can be configured to direct multicast traffic to only the ports where needed.

Operation Procedure

  1. Click the Service tab, and then click VLAN Management >VLAN Devices in the navigation tree.
  2. Click VLAN Configuration of a device.
  3. Click More, select the IGMP Configuration link.
  4. Click the Edit iconedit for a port, modify the operation status of the port, and click the save icon to complete editing the port.
  5. click OK.
