Organize Assets by Manually Add Asset Groups or User Groups
This feature is available only when EIA of a version later than 7.3(E0608) is deployed in the INC system.
This function helps you organize assets by user groups or manually add asset groups.
To organize assets by user groups, make sure that only the asset group named Ungrouped exists when you switch to user groups. To organize assets by asset groups, simply switch to manually add asset groups.
Operation Procedure
- Click the User tab on the top navigation bar and select Desktop Asset Manager > Asset Group in the navigation tree.
- Click Use User Groups or Manually Add Asset Groups.
Precautions
- When assets are organized by user groups, you can add or delete the groups on the user group page, but not in the asset group list.
- When assets are organized by user groups, you can change only the control scheme in the asset group list. To edit other information, go to the user group page.
- When assets are organized by user groups, data conflicts may occur. To eliminate data conflicts, INC runs a scheduled maintenance task at 2:30 a.m. every day. For example, an asset and its owner may belong to different groups, and this task moves the asset to the group that its owner belongs to.
