Add Asset

This function helps add an asset.

Operation Procedure

Select the User tab, and in the navigation tree of Desktop Asset Manager, click All Assets to enter the Asset List page.
Click Add to enter the Add Asset page.
Specify the parameters.
Click OK.

If Auto Number is set to Enable, you cannot add an asset.
An asset number must be unique.
If the group that the asset belongs to is assigned to the software deploy task, the task is automatically added to the asset.
If different control schemes are respectively specified for an asset and the group to which the asset belongs, the scheme for the asset take precedence. If no scheme is specified for the asset, the scheme for the group takes effect.
An asset number string is calculated in bytes by the iNode client and in characters by DAM. DAM allows you to enter at most 32 characters as the asset number of a new asset. To register an asset through the iNode client, you can enter at most 64 characters as the asset number.
An asset vendor and asset model are calculated in bytes by the iNode client and in characters by DAM. DAM allows you to enter a maximum of 32 characters as the asset vendor and a maximum of 128 characters as the asset model of a new asset. To register an asset through the iNode client, you can enter a maximum of 64 characters as the asset vendor and a maximum of 256 characters as the asset model.
When you register an asset through the iNode client, the asset remarks field displays at most 1024 characters.
