Advanced Query
Advanced query provides query criteria including asset name, asset number, owner, file name, name and asset number of the computer that initiates the print task, report time, printer name, share printer, printed pages, printed size, port, and driver information. This function allows you to narrow down the search scope to particular printer use.
Operation Procedure
1. Select the User tab, and then select Desktop Asset Manager > Desktop Control Audit > Printer Use from the navigation tree to enter the printer use page.
2. Click the Advanced Query link to specify the advanced query criteria, such as asset name, asset number, owner, file name, name and asset number of the computer initiating printing, report time, printer name, share printer, printed pages, printed size, port, and driver information.
3. Click Query to display the printer use that matches the query criteria. Click Reset to restore the default query criteria and display the query result.
Parameters
- Asset Name: Name of computer that associates with the printer.
- Asset Number: Uniquely identifies an asset in the system.
- Owner: Owner of the asset.
- File Name: Name of the file to be printed. It must be exactly the same as that in the print task list.
- Name of the Computer Initiating Printing: Name of the computer that uses the shared printer to print files.
- Asset Number of the Computer Initiating Printing: Asset number of the computer that uses the shard printer to print files.
- Report Time: Server system time when the server receives the printer use reported by the client.
- Printer Name: Name of the printer.
- Share Printer: A terminal can share its printer with other clients to use this printer. If you want to query for assets that use shared printers other than their own local printer to print files, select Yes. If you want to query for assets using their own local printers, select No.
- Printed Pages: Number of pages that are printed.
- Printed Size: Number of printed bitmap file bytes.
- Port: Printer port connected to the computer.
- Driver Info.: Driver information of the printer.
