Restore Device Configuration

Scenario Description

Suppose that the current startup configuration file of the device at 10.153.89.137 is 10.153.89.137_startup_20070901142932, and different configuration files have been deployed to the device previously. Now you want to restore the startup configuration file of this device to 10.153.89.137_startup_20070831170142, which was previously deployed.

To do so, you can use the Restore Device Configuration function.

Scenario Analysis

When restoring the startup configuration file for the device whose IP address is 10.153.89.137, you do not need to set parameters for the configuration file.

Operation procedure

  1. On the Configuration Center page, click Configuration Management corresponding to the device whose IP address is 10.153.89.137.
  2. Select the Configuration Backup History tab.
  3. In the Configuration Backup History list, click Restore corresponding to the file named 10.153.89.137_startup_20070831170142 to go to the Deployment Guide page.
  4. Select a deployment strategy for the startup configuration.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Type a task name.
  7. Select Immediately as the schedule time.
  8. Select Stop Deployment on the Current Device as the error handling mechanism.
  9. Type information in the Task Description text box.
  10. Click Next.
  11. In the device list of the Abstract page, click the View link corresponding to the device whose IP address is 10.153.89.137 to view the contents of the configuration file.
  12. Click Finish.
