Basic Network Management
The basic network manager provides the alarm management function.The System can receive traps and SNMPv2c/v3 informs. When a device sends SNMPv3 informs to The System, you must set the engine ID of The System to 800063A2800123456789ABCDEF0123 on the device.
The alarm management function consists of:
- Real-time Unacknowledged Alarms: Monitors the alarms in the network in real time.
- Faulty Device Detected: Displays the devices that have at least one alarm whose alarm level is higher than warning (including warning). It provides you with an overview of the device status on the network.
- All Alarms: Provides basic and advanced query, helping you to locate the fault exactly.
- Filtering Rule: Filters out the undesired alarms, which improves system performance and facilitates your alarm browsing.
- Notification and Forwarding Settings: Provides abundant alarm notification and forwarding functions, helping you receive the desired alarms by email or cell phone, or forward the alarms to another The System server to monitor.
