Rack Topology
The rack topology displays the devices on one or multiple cabinets and the position relationship between them.
In the rack topology, you can add objects through adding devices and cabinet supports, so that the rack topology can display the utilization of the cabinet.
Operation Procedure
- Click the Resource tab.
- Select View Management > Network Topology in the navigation tree.
- Double-click Data Center Topology in the topology navigation tree.
- Double-click an equipment room icon in the data center topology or an equipment room node in the topology navigation tree.
- Double-click any cabinet icon in the equipment room topology.
Functions
- Add devices to a cabinet through the shortcut menu: Right-click a blank area in the rack topology and then select Add Device to Cabinet from the shortcut menu. On the window that appears, select devices and click OK. You can repeatedly add the same stack device to the cabinet, and the first member device is automatically added to the cabinet.
- Add devices to a cabinet through another topology page: On another topology page, select one or multiple devices and right-click them, and select Add Device to Cabinet from the shortcut menu. On the dialog box that appears, select the target room and cabinet, set the device attributes, and click OK. If you select a stack device, you can select the stack number on the device attributes configuration page.
- Add supports: Right-click a blank area in the rack topology and then select Add Supports from the shortcut menu.
- Delete a device from the cabinet: Right-click a device and then select Delete from the shortcut menu. Click OK on the displayed dialog box.
- Delete a support from the cabinet: Right-click a support and then select Delete from the shortcut menu. Click OK on the displayed dialog box.
- Locate a device: Right-click a device, and then select Topology Location from the shortcut menu. Then the system displays the corresponding topology where the device to be located is selected.
- Locate a cabinet: On another topology page, right-click a device that is added to a cabinet and then select Cabinet Location from the shortcut menu. Then the system displays the corresponding cabinet where the device is selected.
Precautions
- If you double-click one of the grouped cabinets, you open all cabinets in this group.
