Device View

displays device basic information organized by the device type and provides device management operations.

The device type includes router, switch, server, security device, storage device, surveillance device, voice device, wireless device, printer, UPS device, PC, and other SNMP devices.

PCs are devices that support ICMP (ping operations) but do not support SNMP or do not have SNMP enabled.

Remarks

• Device types are predefined by the system and cannot be customized.
• The status of the device view is determined by the highest alarm level of devices in the device view. The icon of the device view is grayed out when the device view contains no devices.
• For an administrator, the device view displays all devices in the network. For other operators, the device view displays only the devices to which they have management rights.
