Restore Offline APs' Original Locations

Perform this task to configure whether to automatically save location information for offline APs and restore their original locations when they come online again.

Procedure

1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > View Management > Location Views to open the Location View page.
3. Click Location History to open the Location History page.
4. Click the Offline APs' History Locations tab.
5. Select Restore Offline APs' Original Locations. WSM saves location information for offline APs and automatically adds them to the original locations when they come online again.
6. Clear Restore Offline APs' Original Locations. WSM deletes saved location information for offline APs and will not save location information for offline APs.

Remarks

• By default, the Restore Offline APs' Original Locations option is not selected.
• If you manually delete entries for an AP in the location list, the AP will not be automatically added to the location view when it comes online again.
• WSM can save the history location of a deleted AP for a maximum of three months.
