Send Password SMS Message Notifications

On the access user details page, you can send an SMS message to the access user.

This function requires a telephone number and the text to be sent. The system first attempts to search the telephone number from the basic account information. If a number is found, the system uses this telephone number. If no telephone number is found, the system selects a specific length of characters reversely from the account name as the telephone number. If still fails, no texts are sent. For information about getting telephone numbers from account name, see SMS Settings. For information about configuring the text to be sent, see Configure User SMS Notification. This function does not apply to the users whose accounts are synchronized from the Microsoft AD because the system cannot obtain the passwords of these accounts.

The SMS modem allows a message to contain up to 140 characters. A large message will be divided into multiple SMS messages.

Operation Procedure

  1. Click the account name on an access user function page to enter the access account details page.
  2. On the Action menu, click Send Password SMS Message Notifications. A text message is sent to the access user.
