Converged Topology
The converged topology shows data of various topologies in a single topology. The custom topologies and virtual network topologies are supported in the converged topology.
Administrators can create their own custom converged views. Then, the administrators can efficiently monitor and manage the resources of various service topologies.
Operation Procedure
- Click the Resource tab.
- Click View Management > Network Topology in the navigation tree to enter the custom topology page.
- Double-click Converged Topology in the topology navigation tree to enter the Converged Topology page.
Precautions
- To add the hosts in a virtual network topology to the converged topology, you must use Add Device to This View icon
in the toolbar.
- If the host of a virtual machine which in a virtual network topology is added to the converged topology, all virtual machines attached to the host are automatically added to the topology. If a host in the converged topology has virtual machines attached, the virtual machines are added to the subview for the host.
- You cannot add links for nodes in subviews and internal nodes of ESX devices in the converged topology.
