The system is a next generation intelligent service management platform. It provides a full functionality of network management, control and monitor with a unified management interface. With its open and modular architecture, this platform enables distributed, hierarchical and interactive management of the services running on it. It is a reliable, scalable, high-performance service platform for next generation service software products. The following contexts provide you an overview of the common management platform.
The platform provides four functions as basis for services running on it:
- System security guaranteeing:
- Operator Management: Provides identity authentication that only authorized operators get access to the system.
- Operator Group Management: Specifies refined operation privileges for operators in the same operator group, facilitating privilege management for operators.
- Login Control Template: Provides operator access control that operator must log in from specified terminal devices.
- Password Strategy: Effectively guarantees operator password security.
- Online Operator Management: Traces the configuration and management operations of online operators in real time.
- Operation Log: Traces and audits the operations of operators.
- System Settings: Configures system parameters.
- Change Operator Password: Enables an operator to change its own password.
- System configuration and management:
- My Favorites: Quickly find the entry to a function.
- Export Data: Automatically exports alarms and logs.
- Query: Fast queries for users, devices or interfaces.
- Basic network and device management:
- Network Topology: Displays the topology in the IP/custom view, the connections among the devices, and the device status. You can also customize your topological view.
- Add Device: Adds devices to the system for management.
- Auto Discovery: Queries for devices to manage throughout the network and add them to the system.
- IP View, Custom View and Device View: Group devices by different perspectives for easy management.
- Device Group: Divides devices to different groups to be managed by operators authorized to do so.
- SNMP Template, Telnet Template and SSH Template: Predefine parameters to avoid repeated definition.
- Configure Parameters in Batches: Quickly configures the same parameters for multiple devices when necessary.
- Basic user management:
- Add User: Adds users to system management; Delete User: Deletes users from the system.
- Batch User Operations: Modifies or deletes multiple users at a time.
- Manage Additional Information: Adds user attributes for easy management.
- Import Users: Imports existing user information in bulk to reduce the workload for mass input.
- User Group: Divides users to different groups to be managed by operators authorized to do so.
The layout of the platform window is as follows:
- Tab: Includes entries to different functional modules of the platform.
- Navigation tree: Includes menu items of all functions. You can select a menu item to have the related operation information displayed in the right pane.
- Main pane: Displays the current operation with related functional buttons and links (such as Add and Delete).
- Shortcut link: Includes functional links accessible by the current operator.
- Query bar: Provides device and user query.
